  The various vegetation indexes are made from varying ratio of different bands. Because different bio-chemical or chemical substance has different absorption spectrum and emitting spectrum. It may be difficult for ones to directly gain individual spectrum. Consequently, ones use ratio of reflected intensity generated from different bands in remote sensing as a characteristic index to identify different substances. Based on ones’ research, a series of useful vegetation indexes have already proposed and widely used in investigating and monitoring crop growth in agriculture, forestry as well as oceanic vegetation.
Similarly, the detected vegetation indexes are also able to be classified by the refined data from LiDAR. Some results are presented in this section (see Figure 1 to 13). Of course, other results are not shown, but the principle and manner of dealing with data are exact same.
